We can only imagine where this piece has been for the last seventy or more years. When it came into the shop it had four layers of paint on it: white, green, pink and finally, gold. While most of the paint stripped off rather easily, getting it out of the wood grain was tedious and developing the proper method to bleach the discolored wood back to blonde was an adventure in science.
